Privacy Policy

M4 Infotech ("we", "our", or "us") built the Scribbly - Kids Coloring Fun app (the "App") as a Free, ad-supported application. This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you or your child uses the App, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you are a parent or guardian, please review this policy before allowing your child to use the App.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Scribbly is designed with children's privacy as the top priority. We do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, address, phone number, date of birth)
• Location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or IP-based location)
• Usage analytics, behavioral tracking, or device identifiers for our own purposes
• Photos or images (all processing happens locally on your device)
• Account or login information (no accounts or sign-ups are required)
• Contacts, calendar, or other on-device data

2. Advertising

Scribbly displays advertisements through Google AdMob to keep the App free. All advertising is configured to be child-safe:

• COPPA Compliant: All ad requests are tagged for child-directed treatment under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
• Non-Personalized Only: Ads are never personalized or based on user behavior. No advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) is used for ad targeting. No advertising profiles are created.
• Content Rating: Ad content is restricted to the "G" (General) rating, ensuring only age-appropriate advertisements are shown.
• No Behavioral Tracking: No user activity is tracked for ad targeting purposes.
• No App Tracking: The App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS, as no tracking occurs.

Google AdMob may collect limited technical data (such as device type, OS version, and IP address) solely for serving non-personalized ads and fraud prevention. This data is handled by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Children and Family Ads policies.

4. How the App Works

Scribbly is a coloring app where all creative features work entirely on your device:

• Photo Import: When you import a photo to create a coloring page, the image is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to any server.
• Coloring Projects: Your saved coloring projects are stored locally on your device only.
• Sharing: If you choose to share artwork, the sharing is initiated by you through your device's built-in sharing functionality. We do not have access to shared content.
• Offline Use: All creative features (drawing, coloring, saving) work completely offline. Internet is only required to display advertisements.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & App Store Kids Category)

Scribbly is designed for children and complies with:

• COPPA (U.S.): The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act — we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• Apple App Store Kids Category Guidelines: No tracking, no third-party analytics, no links out of the app without parental gate, ads are age-appropriate.
• Google Play Families Policy: The App complies with Google's Designed for Families program requirements, including appropriate ad content and no collection of persistent identifiers for advertising purposes.

Our practices include:

• No personal data is collected from children of any age
• Ads are non-personalized and child-directed as required by COPPA
• No advertising identifiers are used for tracking or profiling
• No in-app purchases are offered
• No social features or user-to-user communication exists
• No links to external websites or apps without appropriate safeguards

6. Third-Party Services

Scribbly uses the following third-party service:

• Google AdMob — For displaying non-personalized, child-safe advertisements. Google AdMob may collect limited device information (device type, OS version, IP address) solely for ad serving and fraud prevention. This data is not used for personalization or tracking. See Google's Advertising Policies and Family Ads policies.

Scribbly does not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, etc.)
• Social media SDKs or login services
• Crash reporting or diagnostics services
• Any other third-party SDKs that collect user data

7. Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Photo Library / Storage: To save your coloring artwork to your device's gallery and to import photos for creating coloring pages. Images are never uploaded or shared with us.
• Camera (optional): To take photos directly for converting to coloring pages, if you choose to use this feature. Photos remain on your device.
• Internet Access: Required for loading advertisements. All creative features work offline.

These permissions are used solely for the stated purposes. No data collected through these permissions leaves your device or is sent to us.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data retained on our servers.

• All coloring projects and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Uninstalling the App automatically removes all locally stored data.
• If you wish to delete your saved projects, you can do so within the App at any time.
• No account deletion is necessary as no accounts are created.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional privacy rights:

• California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Since we do not collect or sell any personal information, these rights are inherently satisfied.
• European Economic Area (GDPR): EEA residents have rights to access, rectify, erase, and port their personal data, and to object to processing. Since we do not collect personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied.
• Other Jurisdictions: If your local laws grant additional data privacy rights, please contact us and we will respond accordingly.

10. Security

While we do not collect personal data, we take reasonable measures to ensure the App is safe for children. The App does not connect to external servers other than for ad delivery through Google AdMob's secure infrastructure.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage parents and guardians to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
